During a press conference held earlier this evening, a somber and sullen Tito Ortiz stood beside his lawyer, Chip Matthews, outside of North Hollywood’s Firenze Osteria restaurant as Matthews revealed some startling information about Jenna Jameson, Ortiz’s ex-porn star girlfriend and mother of his two children.
Matthews claims that Jameson has been battling a year-long addiction to OxyContin, and that a recent relapse was what triggered the altercation that landed Ortiz in jail early Monday morning. Matthews claims Tito found pills in Jenna’s pants pocket. According to Matthews, Jameson suffered an “emotional meltdown” once confronted, prompting a call to the authorities.
Matthews went on to claim Jameson’s addiction has previously resulted in rehab stays, as well as multiple calls to 911.
Matthews stated multiple times throughout the press conference, “Tito never touched Jenna.”
During the press conference, Ortiz stated, “It means the world to me, my friends and family for their support. My parents have been through an addiction and I see it in the mirror again. I am not going to let my family go through that. I speak from my heart, I hold everything dear to my heart that Jenna will be okay.”
Jameson was seen several times throughout the day by photographers. She was photographed outside a CVS pharmacy with bandages wrapped around her arm and elbow. Later, a smiling Jameson was captured carring one of the couple’s two children down their driveway.
While speaking with TMZ reporters, Jameson claimed that Ortiz threw her in a bathtub after she “said something very hurtful to his ego.” She claims that this resulted in two torn ligaments in her shoulder. She refuted Ortiz’s claims about her alleged addiction, saying it was “the last nail in the coffin” for their relationship and that Tito was only “trying to save his career.”
Jameson later left for Las Vegas, NV with two friends. It is not yet known what Ortiz’s plans are at this time.
