The Bigger They Are, The Harder They Hit. UFC 116 Preview/Predictions

Sunday, June 27th, 2010
by Dustin Kimbrell   July 3rd 2010, two of the sports biggest Heavy-weights are set to collide. Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin. This fight could very well go down in history as an instant classic, but before these two big boys get it on, let's have a look at the other fights on the card. UnderCard Jon Madsen (5-0) vs Karlos Vemola (7-0) Many of you may remember Jon Madsen for his stint on TUF 10 "Heavyweights" as the man that used his wrestling/Ground and Pound to open up the nastiest cut ever seen on the reality show. Dana White Strikes Fedor by Forcing Tapout To Submit

Sunday, June 27th, 2010
by Marco Yanitelli The following statement by M-1 Global's president Vadim Finkelchtein was posted on M-1 Global's official website. It is in response to actions taken by Dana White and the UFC to strike Fedor where it really hurts—his wallet. "I'm afraid to disappoint the fans, but it seems that Fedor's shirt will never be available. The fighter always has had "the best camp of my life," is in the "the best shape of his life," and has plans to win. A few colorful characters sometimes stray from the script, but every once in a while you get something unexpected. Heavyweight MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko dropped one of those moments during Friday's Strikeforce call leading up to his fight with Fabricio Werdum on June 26. Asked by MMA Fighting why their fight ...

Saturday, June 19th, 2010
LAS VEGAS – Court McGee and Kris McCray both knew they'd be here some day. Then again, so did hundreds of other fighters who tried out for season eleven of "The Ultimate Fighter." Many months and even a couple of losses later, it's down to just these two. "Before I tried out I was sitting in my bathtub, just visualizing myself holding the trophy," McGee told MMA Fighting. "It was just a thought that came to me. I saw that glass trophy, me being the next Ultimate Fighter, and it was pretty powerful." McCray had similar visions, only ...
