Jumping The Gun: Strikeforce Gets Worse By The Day

Yesterday, I wrote an article because I felt that Strikeforce was lacking as an MMA promotion. Today, there are multiple reports of even more failings on behalf of Strikeforce.

Parisyan, Bustamante, Sokoudjou, Kang, More UFC Vets Headed to Impact FC

Karo Parisyan, Murilo Bustamante, Jeff Monson, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Paulo Filho and Denis Kang have been confirmed by the promoters with opponents for Impact FC's upcoming cards in Australia on July 10 and July 18.
Additionally, Monson and Filho are in for double duty, slated to fight on both cards. Monson is lined up to fight Bira Lima and then former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez. Meanwhile, Filho will take on Keith Johnson and then UFC and PRIDE veteran Kang.

UFC KOs Ken Shamrock in Court Again

Ken Shamrock's last three UFC fights were first-round knockout losses. Now he's been knocked out by the UFC in a court of law.
The UFC distributed a press release Thursday trumpeting its latest legal victory over Shamrock, a UFC Hall of Famer who took the UFC to court and may now have to pay a steep price for that decision.
According to the press release, the UFC's parent company Zuffa LLC was awarded a legal victory Thursday when Judge Susan H. Johnson of the Eighth Judicial District Court for Nevada, granted the UFC's motion for attorney's fees and costs, totaling close to $175,000. CRIS CYBORG AND CUNG LE RETURN IN JUNE

As Strikeforce draws ever nearer to it’s April 17 date in Nashville, the promotion is already starting to forge ahead with plans for another major show in June that will feature a current champion and a former champion on the same card.
Another event, on May 15, has already been scheduled and announced for St. Louis. While the June card has not officially been released, it's believed Strikeforce will put a show on late in the month at the HP Pavilion in its hometown of San Jose, Calif.
Two top fighters who will be featured on the June card are former middleweight champion Cung Le and current women's 145-pound champion Cris "Cyborg" Santos.

Strikeforce will showcase one of its top stars when UFC veteran Nick Diaz shares the stage with women’s champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos and 1982 Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker during a Jan. 30 event at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., the promotion announced on Friday.
