Does It Matter if the UFC Lies to the Media, Fans?

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010
That depends on your priorities. Lying to the press is never a good idea. In the information age, falsehoods can come back to haunt you and severely undermine your credibility. Tell a lie before all of the facts are out and an enterprising reporter can make you pay. But that's actually not what happened with the UFC and the main event for UFC 115. The UFC was much more brazen. Rather than lie and work to cover up details they didn't want disseminated, the UFC deliberately went on the record in interviews in print, radio and online saying words and spreading messages they knew to be false. UFC CONFIRMS LIDDELL VS FRANKLIN FOR VANCOUVER

Monday, April 12th, 2010
Speculation has been running rampant for several weeks over reports that Chuck Liddell would face Rich Franklin at UFC 115 instead of original opponent and opposing coach from the current season of "The Ultimate Fighter" Tito Ortiz. MMAWeekly.com initially reported the rumored bout on March 13. The UFC denied the initial reports and stood ...

"Absolutely," he said (his answer comes around the 1-minute mark). "The definite main event is ...

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

Florian has to be considered the favorite against anybody in the UFC lightweight division besides BJ Penn.  The next logical fight for Florian is Gray Maynard, and while it's a tough fight, I would pick Florian to win it.  If he does, he'd effectively knock off ...
