The 205 lb or light heavyweight division has been the most stacked weight class in the sport of mixed martial arts for quite some time.
There have been all-time greats such as Randy Couture and Mark Coleman who have competed in this vaunted division, as well as newcomers such as Rashad Evans, Shogun Rua, and Lyoto Machida who have dominated the division as of late.

FEDOR NEGOTIATIONS ONGOING, PENCILED FOR JUNE

The deal to bring Fedor Emelianenko back to Strikeforce isn’t a done deal yet, but the promotion is hopeful he'll be on board for a June fight against Fabricio Werdum.
Just last month the word was that Fedor was confirmed for the June card, and while Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker says they are hopeful to have him on the show in San Jose, Calif., it's an ongoing situation.
"We have a date in June on hold for him, and we're hoping we work things out where he can come fight that fight," said Coker when appearing on MMAWeekly Radio on Wednesday night.

The highly touted Takanori Gomi made his UFC debut live on Spike TV from North Carolina against perennial title challenger Kenny Florian to headline the UFC Fight Night 21 card. The UFC sold him as an "all time great", "the last PRIDE champion" and his 30+ wins were mentioned.

LOMBARD VS. FILHO SET FOR BELLATOR MAY 13

It looks like former WEC and Pride champion Paulo Filho will try to make another go of it in the United States when he faces Hector Lombard in a middleweight superfight for Bellator Fighting Championships on May 13.
The promotion officially announced the previously rumored bout on Tuesday, stating the fight would be a non-title affair with the venue for the fight still to be determined.
Filho was widely considered one of the top middleweights in the world just a few short years ago, but the Brazilian fell on hard times during his stint with the WEC after moving their when Pride was purchased by Zuffa.
Going 2-1 with the promotion, Filho never quite looked himself in any of his fights ...
