Wednesday, May 12th, 2010
With UFC 113 barely behind us, it's already time to start looking ahead to UFC 114—Rampage vs Evans. The event is May 29th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, NV. Though a notable name in Forrest Griffin has been taken off the card, the lineup is still exciting for most MMA fans. Rashad Evans and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, will fight in the main event to find out who goes on to face Shogun Rua for his new Light Heavyweight Title. Griffin and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira were slated to the co-main event, but now Griffin has been replaced by 18-2-1 Jason "The Hitman" Brilz. [caption id="" align="alignleft" width="340" caption="Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images"][/caption] It wasn't long ago that the UFC had a 45-year-old heavyweight champion, and Tim Sylvia, Fabricio Werdum, Gabriel Gonzaga and an aged Antonio Nogueira were some of the biggest contenders for that belt. CAIN VELASQUEZ WAITING IN THE WINGS FOR A SHOT

Thursday, March 18th, 2010
After splitting a pair of bouts with UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, former title holder Frank Mir has made little effort to hide his current motivation. As such, some have labeled Mir a "stalker" because of his singular focus on a rubber match with the champ. Nevertheless, Mir carries on in search of facing Lesnar once again. But standing in his way at UFC 111 is undefeated challenger Shane Carwin, who Mir says may actually be a tougher opponent. "I think he's very similar to Brock Lesnar," Mir told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). "He's somebody that's strong, and he's a good wrestler. But I think that Carwin, in a lot of ways, is actually more dangerous for me." The similarities ...

Brock is Back!

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010
“Brock is back!” That was the triumphant Twitter message that UFC president Dana White sent out this morning as he and the heavyweight champion appeared on ESPN SportsCenter to discuss the recently illness woes that have kept Lesnar from the Octagon and even threatened his career. Lesnar will be back in action this summer and defending his belt against the winner of a fight between Frank Mir and Shane Carwin. Should injuries prevent the winner of that match stepping up to the plate, the winner of Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Cain Velasquez will get the shot. A giant of a man, Lesnar looked somewhat smaller than usual on television today and it was revealed that he had lost 40 pounds during ...
