With four wins in a row, it would be difficult to deny Kurt Pellegrino has developed into a legitimate title contender.
Since returning to his native New Jersey and hooking up with fellow UFC lightweight Kenny Florian, Pellegrino has flourished and now has his sights set on goals he once thought unobtainable.

The bad news is Thiago Alves wasn't able to fight Jon Fitch at UFC 111, but the much better news is that the Brazilian will be able to return to action as soon as May, after having a minor surgery that will keep him away for only a few weeks.
Alves spoke to the media on Friday evening in New York City to update everyone on what was a fairly vague, yet scary situation after he was not approved to fight following a CAT scan that revealed an issue with the fighter's brain that could not be solved by fight time.

Carwin labels Mir “either a terrible human being or mentally unfit”

In an EXCLUSIVE interview with MMABay this week UFC heavyweight contender, Shane Carwin has slammed Frank Mir over his comments directed towards champion, Brock Lesnar where he said he wanted to break his neck or worse, labelling the Las Vegas native “either a terrible human being or mentally unfit”.
