Fedor Emelianenko and a broadcast deal with the CBS network are two of the most important assets Strikeforce can boast, but right now, they are in holding patterns as respective talks and deliberations continue on both fronts.
Of the two, it appears that a decision on Emelianenko's future is more likely to come first.
During a Monday conference call, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker mentioned that the promotion has engaged in recent, productive talks with the Russian fighter's representatives.

The following statement by M-1 Global's president Vadim Finkelchtein was posted on M-1 Global's official website. It is in response to actions taken by Dana White and the UFC to strike Fedor where it really hurts—his wallet.
"I'm afraid to disappoint the fans, but it seems that Fedor's shirt will never be available. Just today I got the call from Tapout, and was told representatives of the UFC threatened to break all contracts with their organization and categorically demanded Tapout discontinue the Fedor Emelianenko T-shirt line.

Dan Henderson’s Future Uncertain, Hoping for Jake Shields Rematch

MMA Fighting spoke to Dan Henderson at this weekend's Strikeforce event in St. Louis, and while the former PRIDE champion was non-committal when discussing his future, he did say he believed his next fight for the organization would air on CBS.
"Hendo" also discussed why he lost to Jake Shields in April, a potential rematch and whether he is still happy with his decision to sign with Strikeforce.
