UFC competitors Eliot Marshall and Shannon Gugerty – who both lost their respective matches Sunday night during the organization’s debut on Versus – have been released from the UFC. MMA Madness was able to confirm the news with sources close to the fighters this afternoon. Marshall (seen here) lost a lackluster split decision to Vladimir Matyushenko while Gugerty was submitted with a arm-triangle choke in the second round courtesy of Clay Guida.
