What Does Gegard Mousasi Leaving M-1 Global Mean for Fedor Emelianenko and Strikeforce

Sherdog reported this morning that Stikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi has parted ways with management company M-1 Global: Mousasi, who won the Strikeforce light heavyweight title in August, said he has a fight contract directly with the U.S.-based promotion and will continue to compete for it. Mousasi said he also still plans to enter the first round of Dream’s light heavyweight grand prix, rumored to begin this May in Japan. Dana White in fresh negotiations with M-1 Global over Fedor & Mousasi?

UFC President, Dana White has seemingly revealed he has had recent contact with M-1 Global over acquiring the services of both WAMMA heavyweight champion, Fedor Emelianenko and his stable mate, Strikeforce light heavyweight champion, Gegard Mousasi. In an interview with Sherdog.com over the weekend, Dana was asked about the recent discussions with M-1 Global, revealing: “Listen, I think there’s a million different ways to cut deals. Believe me, I want Fedor more than the people that are yapping that they want him in the UFC. And I like Mousasi too. So I would love to have them both in the UFC.
