Monday, August 9th, 2010
Fedor Emelianenko and a broadcast deal with the CBS network are two of the most important assets Strikeforce can boast, but right now, they are in holding patterns as respective talks and deliberations continue on both fronts. Of the two, it appears that a decision on Emelianenko's future is more likely to come first. During a Monday conference call, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker mentioned that the promotion has engaged in recent, productive talks with the Russian fighter's representatives. "We have ongoing dialogue even as recent as last weekend, and it's an ongoing process," he said. "I feel we'll come to when ...

Saturday, June 19th, 2010
When MMA Fighting asked Dana White following UFC 115 whether he was concerned Strikeforce would try to re-sign their middleweight champion Jake Shields, the UFC president made it very clear, once again, that he does not view the San Jose-based organization as being any kind of threat. FOR ALISTAIR OVEREEM IT’S FEDOR OR BUST!

Monday, May 17th, 2010
I want to fight Fedor. Give me a fight with Fedor. Fedor, fight me. There are many variations on the theme, but the refrain is the same... Alistair Overeem wants to fight Fedor Emelianenko. With the Strikeforce heavyweight champion’s first round demolition of Brett Rogers on Saturday night, it would seem the fight could now happen. Not so fast. Remember, Fedor has another fight on his hands first. He is scheduled to face Fabricio Werdum in a Strikeforce and M-1 Global co-promotion on June 26 in San Jose, Calif. If he wins there then let’s talk. “I know Alistair would love to fight Fedor, and that's a conversation that will happen after June 26,” said Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker on Saturday ...
