The card for the upcoming Strikeforce event in Nashville has been filled. Conspicuous in his absence from the roster is WWE Superstar turned fighter Bobby Lashley, who was originally planned for the promotion’s return to CBS.
Lashley, who trains out of his own American Top Team gym in Colorado, underwent nasal surgery that pushed back his training camp, and according to Strikeforce president Scott Coker, they decided it was best to let him recover and fight another day.

Bobby Lashley’s exclusion from Strikeforce April 17 card in Nashville, Tenn., was due to nasal surgery he underwent in early March.
“I had sinus surgery recently and b/c of the surgery, my doc won't clear me to fight,” Lashley posted on his Facebook page on Monday. “I tried working every angle, however the final say is left in the hands of the doc.”

Strikeforce announced the undercard line-up of its April 17 “Nashville” event on Monday, which will include a former local college football standout and the son of a UFC 6 veteran.
Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker confirmed to Sherdog.com that Bobby Lashley will not appear for the event, which will emanate from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., as was previously expected. Coker did not give a reason for the former WWE champion’s exclusion. Lashley, who’s 5-0 in MMA, also splits his time as a TNA pro wrestler.
