The California State Athletic Commission has suspended ten “WEC 48: Aldo vs. Faber” contestants for injuries sustained in their respective scraps this past Saturday in Sacramento, CA. Company superstar Urijah Faber and his severely battered leg will be forced to sit the sidelines for up to six months.

In a fight that will be remembered as one of the wildest of 2010, Leonard Garcia won a hard-fought split decision victory over Chan Sung Jung at WEC 48.

Anthony Pettis showed off a great combination of stand-up striking and submission skills in a lightweight bout Saturday night at WEC 48, getting Alex Karalexis to tap out in the second round of their fight in Sacramento.
Pettis landed a kick to the face in the early going and landed several kicks to the legs as the first round wore on, employing his stand-up strategy perfectly as Karalexis had little answer. In the closing seconds of the first round Karalexis took Pettis down, but it was definitely Pettis's round.
