July 3rd 2010, two of the sports biggest Heavy-weights are set to collide. Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin. This fight could very well go down in history as an instant classic, but before these two big boys get it on, let's have a look at the other fights on the card.

With his light-heavyweight trial run in the rearview mirror, Kimbo Slice is back to being a happy heavyweight. Back in his comfortable division, the MMA and crossover star returns to the cage at UFC 113, facing fellow Ultimate Fighter season 10 cast member Matt Mitrione.
Interestingly, in discussing the fight during a recent edition of "Inside the Ultimate Fighter," Slice seemed to indicate a desire to move out of his comfort zone in a different way, employing a rarely-seen ground attack.

The UFC championship fight between mega-heavyweights Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin has passed a key hurdle as both men have signed bout agreements to compete at UFC 116 on July 3 as expected.
Multiple sources have confirmed that both competitors agreed to the fight, which has been targeted by the UFC since Lesnar's health problems cleared up and Carwin won his March UFC 111 bout against Frank Mir in short order. The fight should be officially announced sometime within the next two ...

If you've been paying any attention to the news about UFC 115 this week you know that things are very confusing. That is the event that has long been expected to feature The Ultimate Fighter season 11 coaches Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz in Vancouver.
Rumors have buzzed around the event for more than a month, most of them having to do with the status of Tito Ortiz and whether or not he'll be able to fight. I documented the rumors here and speculated on the active role of Dana White and the UFC PR machine in deliberately putting out disinformation and spin to build heat for TUF 11.
