Keeping things fresh and new is tough for any reality show, especially when you reach the eleventh season, but the UFC has come up with a new idea for “The Ultimate Fighter” that is showcased in this season’s premier episode.
With 28 competitors working to get into the house by fighting it out amongst each other, the 14 winners are left with a peculiar situation on how the tournament will break down with an odd number of fighters left over.

Matt Hamill vs. Keith Jardine targeted for The Ultimate Fighter 11

Light heavyweights Matt Hamill and Keith Jardine are targeted to meet at The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale, MMAjunkie.com has learned.
Sources close to the negotiations said at least one fighter has formally agreed to the fight and is expected to sign a bout agreement shortly.
Although not yet formally announced by the UFC, The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale is expected to take place June 19 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The event airs like on Spike TV and features the finalists of the reality show's 11th season as they fight for a UFC contract.

Tito out, Franklin in for fight with Chuck Liddell on April 17th

Chuck Liddell will be fighting Rich Franklin in his next bout and not rival TUF 11 coach Tito Ortiz, Fighters Only has heard from a reliable source. The switch was initially reported to us just under two weeks ago but was only a rumour at that time.
However, the rumour hit message boards late last night and an industry source confirmed that Liddell will indeed be facing former middleweight champion Rich Franklin. The fight is to headline an April 17th Fight Night event which will counter Strikeforce’s show on the same date.

His pleas for the job apparently worked; Tito Ortiz will serve as a coach on the upcoming 11th season of "The Ultimate Fighter."
UFC officials confirmed the assignment during Saturday's The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort.
The other part of the surprise? Ortiz will coach against Chuck Liddell, not Forrest Griffin, on the upcoming season of the reality series, and the coaches will meet in a season-ending fight.
After dropping a close split decision to Griffin last month in the UFC 106 main event, Ortiz campaigned for the two to be coaches on "TUF 11." UFC officials, though, chose Liddell instead.
