The issue of weight-cutting as a ‘quick fix' to a fighter's divisional troubles came to me as an interesting subject for discussion following B.J. Penn's destruction of Diego Sanchez at UFC 107. UFC President, Dana White has seemingly revealed he has had recent contact with M-1 Global over acquiring the services of both WAMMA heavyweight champion, Fedor Emelianenko and his stable mate, Strikeforce light heavyweight champion, Gegard Mousasi. UFC president Dana White supports the athletic commission guidelines on drug testing mixed martial artists and compared the rigid policies and punishment to other sports’ testing programs to the media following Saturday’s UFC 108 in Las Vegas. “They can test us how ever they want to test us.
