UFC drops lightweight Kyle Bradley following UFC Fight Night 20 loss

After his 1-3 run in the organization that included a recent decision loss to Rafael dos Anjos at UFC Fight Night 20, Ultimate Fighting Championship officials cut lightweight Kyle Bradley from the organization's roster.
Bradley confirmed the termination of his contract via Twitter.
Bradley (14-7 MMA, 1-3 UFC), who debuted with the UFC two years ago, likely will be best remembered for his TKO victory over "The Ultimate Fighter 8" runner-up Phillipe Nover at UFC 98.

UFC signs Rick Story to new four-fight deal

Following his second consecutive octagon victory, the Ultimate Fighting Championship has signed Rick Story to a new four-fight deal.
Story, a Washington native who fights alongside UFC welterweight Mike Pierce at Brave Legion Fight Club, defeated Jesse Lennox on points on Jan. 11 at UFC Fight Night 20.
"I'm very happy to be fighting in the UFC," Story told MMAjunkie.com on Tuesday. "I hope to go through this contract as fast as my last one."

New York Governor Introduces MMA Bill

The push to legalize mixed martial arts in New York is now being led by the state’s top official.
Governor David Paterson unveiled a state budget proposal Tuesday that includes a bill that would nullify a 13-year-old ban on MMA in the Empire State as a way of raising sorely needed revenue.
“Currently, 40 States safely regulate the sport of mixed martial arts and enjoy local and statewide economic benefits associated with the conduct of mixed martial arts events,” reads a summary from Paterson’s office of his revenue proposals. “While New York’s ban on professional combative sports would be removed, conduct of the sport would be carefully regulated.”

As he hinted after suffering a split decision loss to Gray Maynard at UFN 20 earlier this month, it looks like Nate Diaz (6-3 UFC) will indeed make move up to the welterweight division.
