Former Octagon Girls Discuss UFC Dismissals

Former Octagon Girls Logan Stanton and Natasha Wicks, two of the more popular figures in the UFC, were relieved of their duties on Tuesday, surprising MMA fans when the news was first reported by MMAMadness.com on Thursday.
Wicks, who won a Maxim Magazine Octagon Girl search in July, was released before the expiration of her contract, while Stanton, who made her Octagon debut at UFC 92 last December, did not have her one-year contract renewed.
The news came as a shock to both women who figured they were a part of the UFC's long-term plans.

Bobby Lashley has been on a tear in his short career in mixed martial arts, winning all four of his fights, three of which by first round stoppage. Now he is slated to face his toughest challenge to date, 9-0 Shane Del Rosario at Strikeforce in January.
According to MMAWorldwide, Del Rosario informed them that he has been offered the fight with Lashley and that both he and Lashley had verbally agreed to the fight. Al that remains is for both undefeated fighters to put pen to paper in order to make the bout official.

Justin Wren Released by UFC; Tim Credeur Injured, Withdraws From Fight

MEMPHIS -- Justin Wren, who was a cast member of the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter and who lost his UFC debut in a split-decision at the TUF 10 Finale last Saturday, was cut by the UFC, a source confirmed to FanHouse on Thursday.
Wren, who is just 22 years old, did well during TUF, submitting Wes Sims in his first-round matchup before dropping a tight majority decision to eventual TUF champ Roy Nelson in the quarterfinals.
Wren (8-2 overall), lost on Saturday to Jon Madsen in a close contest.
