UFC President, Dana White has seemingly revealed he has had recent contact with M-1 Global over acquiring the services of both WAMMA heavyweight champion, Fedor Emelianenko and his stable mate, Strikeforce light heavyweight champion, Gegard Mousasi.
In an interview with Sherdog.com over the weekend, Dana was asked about the recent discussions with M-1 Global, revealing:
“Listen, I think there’s a million different ways to cut deals. Believe me, I want Fedor more than the people that are yapping that they want him in the UFC. And I like Mousasi too. So I would love to have them both in the UFC. And there’s a lot of different ways to cut a deal.”
Fedor is one fight into a three fight contract with Strikeforce, with his second fight upcoming in April, possibly against Fabricio Werdum. This has put the UFC on high alert as the much sought after Russian will likely be a free agent or be fielding offers before 2010 is out.
